Android Phone (as SMS Gateway)
An Android device running the MySMSGate app that acts as an SMS sending device, routing messages from the cloud to recipients via its SIM card.
In the MySMSGate architecture, an Android phone serves as the physical SMS sending device. The phone runs the MySMSGate app, which connects to the server and waits for SMS jobs.
How the Phone Works
- App connects to mysmsgate.net via HTTP polling
- Server assigns pending SMS jobs to the phone
- Phone sends SMS through its SIM card using Android's SMS API
- Phone reports delivery status back to the server
- If phone goes to sleep, server sends FCM push notification to wake it up
Requirements
- Android 8.0+ (API level 26)
- Active SIM card with SMS capability
- Internet connection (WiFi or mobile data)
- SMS permissions granted to the app
