Auto-pause is a protection feature in MySMSGate that automatically pauses a device when the carrier starts blocking messages.
How It Works
- Phone sends SMS normally
- Carrier rejects 4+ messages within any 15-minute window
- Device is auto-paused for 30 minutes
- Pending messages stay in queue (not lost)
- After 30 minutes, sending resumes automatically
Why It Matters
Carriers flag numbers that send too many messages too quickly. Continuing to send during a soft-block makes it worse. Auto-pause gives the carrier time to cool down, protecting your number from permanent blocks. The 15-minute rolling window matches how carrier anti-spam systems actually rate-limit — counting rejections by time, not by a fixed message count.
