SIM Slot
A physical slot in a mobile device that holds a SIM card. Dual SIM phones have two slots, allowing two different numbers or carriers on one device.
A SIM slot is the physical compartment in a phone that accepts a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card. Modern Android phones typically have 1-2 SIM slots, and some support eSIM in addition to physical slots.
Dual SIM in MySMSGate
MySMSGate fully supports dual SIM devices. You can:
- Choose which SIM slot to send from (per message)
- Set a default SIM slot per device
- See carrier name and phone number for each slot in the dashboard
- If the selected SIM is unavailable, the system falls back to the other slot
SIM Information Reported
The Android app reports SIM details during each poll cycle: slot count, active SIMs, carrier name, and phone number for each slot.
